Jameela has led some very complex international reviews for HelpAge. These focused on the quality of work and internal procedures of partners
implementing emergency humanitarian programmes in Asia. Jameela’s approach was rigorous and tenacious. In one high profile case the audit
management required an exceptional degree of tact with firm handling to ensure that our major partner accepted and acted upon some serious criticism,
but also that the audit firm that was engaged recognised that personality clashes were obscuring completely independent and fair reporting. The outcome
of her efforts was a successful project implementation and a partner with significantly improved systems and capacity to respond to subsequent
